What are your career goals?
I hope to work for Google or Microsoft one day. I want to be a project manager and lead a team of IT professionals who help support the technology needs of a company.
How confident are you that your Higher Promise Internship will help you reach these goals?
I believe that it will help me reach my goals. I work at the help desk and help to fulfill tickets for the clients that Newmind serves. Getting experience here will help me get my foot in the door in the world of IT. My next step into the industry will be applying to the IT department at Bronson.
What has been your favorite part of the internship?
They treated me like an actual team member. Newmind was very welcoming and provided a culture that made me feel safe and valued.
Would you recommend Higher Promise to other Promise Scholars? If so, why?
It’s a great experience to be able to have a paid internship where you can explore your career interests and find out what you like. Without Higher Promise, I don’t know if I would have found an internship on my own.
