Trenae Dunigan
Promise Pathway Coach
Trenae Dunigan is a proud Kalamazoo native whose family has been in the community for over 100 years. She spent all of her adolescent years in KPS and after graduating from Kalamazoo Central in 2011 she went on to receive her Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies from Grand Valley State University. As a first generation and Promise Scholar, Trenae is passionate and a huge advocate when it comes to educating, encouraging and uplifting the youth in the city of Kalamazoo.
Prior to working at the Kalamazoo Promise, Trenae’s work experience included working for another local non-profit, a bank, a high school and middle school cheerleading coach and as a freelance Public Relations consultant. All things she believes led her to The Kalamazoo Promise.
After working with youth for almost 10 years, Trenae’s role as a Promise Pathway Coach is special to her. Working for The Kalamazoo Promise is a full circle experience and a role she is very proud of. Her plan is to offer a new steppingstone towards success for future Promise Scholars and all KPS students.
