Moises Hernandez

Career Specialist

As the Career Specialist, Moises Hernandez (he/him) works in the Workforce Development Team and connects Promise Scholars with eligible training programs and apprenticeships.

Although originally from California, Moises attended Kalamazoo College as a recipient of the Posse Foundation Scholarship, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Critical Ethnic Studies in 2017. He is a first-generation college graduate and a first-generation U.S. citizen with three kids on the path to be future Promise Scholars.

Prior to working with The Promise, Moises worked at the Center for Civic Engagement at Kalamazoo College. He worked with community partners to facilitate engagement opportunities for student leaders, interns, and community-based courses. Moises is excited to work in an organization committed to transforming the community and providing access to post-secondary education opportunities.
