Janell “Nelly” Smith joins The Kalamazoo Promise Team as a Promise Scholar. As a 2008 Loy Norrix graduate, which was the 3rd class to receive The Promise, it has been a full circle experience for Nelly. She brings a competitive attitude, spark and young spirit to The Promise Team.

Nelly has a B.A in Business from Northwood University where she also received a Full Athletic Scholarship for basketball. As our Communications & Technology Specialist, Nelly handles the day-to-day technology needs and operations throughout the Promise’s facility.
