The Kalamazoo Promise is excited to host "Kalamazoo Promise Kickback" on Friday, August 18th, 2023 7:00-10:00pm @ The Kalamazoo Promise (180 E Water St Kalamazoo, MI 49007).
This event is for you if:
You are a Promise Scholar
You are a Promise Alumni
You are unsure about how to use The Promise
This event is targeted towards the graduating class of 2025 to create a fun, interesting, and safe environment to expose Kalamazoo Promise Students to the resources we provide here at The Promise. While students are at the event we are also able to complete any and all Promise paperwork and get connected to KVCC Promise Services. We hope that students gain comfort and connection with Promise coaches, interns, staff, and the downtown Kalamazoo community. We decided on the later time to give students time to get out of class or work and head downtown for some educational fun. If you are interested in learning how you can utilize your Promise Scholarship, to explore the opportunities available as you connect to your pathway, then this is for you!
This event is designed to be an opportunity to expand your network, engage with your peers, and learn about all degrees and certificate training programs available through the Promise, including:
Apprenticeships & Skilled Trade Programs
Community Colleges (including many skilled trade certificates and credentials)
Colleges & Universities
Michigan Colleges Alliance
Scholars who attend this event will walk away with invaluable experiences, connections, skills, and a network of like-minded peers, mentors, and organizations to serve as resources along their path to their Promise.

The Kalamazoo Promise is located at 180 E Water St, Kalamazoo, MI 49007
Free ramp parking is available using the North Edwards St parking garage entrance. If you park in the garage, please use the spaces labeled "Visitor Parking." We can validate your parking when you arrive. Access to The Promise office can be found on the the 2nd floor near the northwest entrance. From there, take the stairs or elevator to our 1st floor entrance. If you have any issues, please call 269.337.0037.
