Donté Hudson

Alumni Coordinator

Donté Hudson is a proud native of Kalamazoo, MI as well as a Kalamazoo Promise alumni using his scholarship at Michigan State University to study political science pre-law. Donté has been a mentor at local elementary schools and a freshman basketball coach at Kalamazoo Central for years now, so he is no stranger to helping the children of this community. He is the proud father of his son Dru, who he helps encourage a love for learning and education. 

As a first generation college graduate, Donté understands the importance of education and stresses to the kids he works with how great the Kalamazoo Promise is to have as a resource. He is very grateful for the Kalamazoo Promise and how it blessed him with the opportunity to better himself through his education.

Donté’s role as the Alumni Coordinator will be to connect with past Kalamazoo Promise Scholars for volunteer opportunities, networking, and simply keeping up with the amazing ventures of our Kalamazoo Promise Alumni.
