Amanda Bashore
Capacity Enhancement Manager
Amanda Bashore is the Capacity Enhancement Manager at The Kalamazoo Promise. As a Promise Alum (Kalamazoo Central and the Kalamazoo Area Math and Science Center, Class of 2008) she is passionate about serving current Promise scholars. She began as a Promise Pathway Coach in 2018, and transitioned to her current role in 2020, where she uses her technical training as an engineer and her passion for student success to enhance systems and processes at the Promise to best support Promise staff and the Promise as an organization in empowering students to pursue their chosen paths.
Before coming to the Promise, Amanda worked as a high school counselor and for Central Michigan’s TRIO Upward Bound program. Amanda is excited for her young son to grow up in our wonderful community and becoming a second-generation Promise scholar.
Amanda holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan (tuition paid for by the Promise!) and a master’s of arts in Counseling from Central Michigan University.
